Original clock in Central City, once considered the richest square mile on earth. It was founded in 1859 during the Pike's Peak gold rush.

From around 10,000 people at the height of the gold rush to around 500 people today, Central City now derives its income from tourists. Gambling revenues form a major part of the economy.
