Emerick, a candidate in the first International Ranger Assessment, with Apache Troop, 3rd Squadron, 61st Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, conducts a 12-mile ruck march carrying 45 pounds at Camp Nothing Hill, Kosovo, on July 21. The two-day assessment allowed Soldiers to familiarize themselves on what is expected at Ranger School in order to earn the coveted Ranger tab.
