Edward VI (1537-1553), c1552. After William Scrots (active 1537-1553). Edward VI King of England and Ireland from 28th January 1547 until his death on 6th July 1553. Edward was crowned on 20th February 1547 at the age of nine. He was the only surviving son of Henry VIII by his third wife, Jane Seymour.
