In 1770, Judge Henderson was appointedcommissioner to extend the boundary line between Virginia and North Carolina into Pow-ells Valley. In the same .year he opened an office at French Lick, afterward Nashville,for the sale of his lands, lie died in 1785, nged 60 years. His four sons studied law andattained distinction.
