Resolved, That the National Council of Women of The new gymnastic suit is used in our best gymnasiums because of its lighness and safety. It is mock-modesty which compels woman to conceal the 9that she is two-legged. The legs should be as free as the arms. The newgymnastic suit shows that as women receive the higher education they arewilling to adopt a style of dress suited to their work. We recall the case of ascientifically trained city girl who took upon herself the cares of a farmers. THK NEW GYMNASTIC SUIT. wife. This gifted woman, an accomplished musician and a trained Shake-spearian reader, donned the gymnastic suit of the school-room for the variedduties of the morning. We have seen her going thus equipped through thedewy grass to the milk-yard and garden, with no fear of wet skirts ; free tocarry butter and eggs up the cellar-stairs with no danger of tripping on unnecfljsary drapery. This woman solved the problem of dress and occupation forherself; and is it not 3 wise solution for others also?
