A small play area is introduced for the childrenand also summer or shelter houses. The chief emphasis is laid on the loca-tion of the entrance feature on an axis with the High School building. Alarge open space with trees and walks on either side forms the connectinglink between the High School and the park. This formal area is termin-ated in the end opposite from the school by an elaborate gateway whichserves as a fitting entrance to the grounds. Public and private tenniscourts are located to the north and south sides of this central space. The 1917 Reptonian Fifty-seven. * l£2 5&Li -I
