Distinguished members of the City of Altus and the State of Oklahoma stand in front of a sign dedicating the highway to late Air Force Col. (Ret.) Aaron “Burley” Burleson, former commander of the 97th Air Mobility Wing, during a sign commemoration ceremony, Sept. 28, 2018, at Altus, Okla. To honor Aaron Burleson’s achievements to the Altus community and 97th AMW, his family and members of the Oklahoma Congress came to an agreement to name part of State Highway 52 after him.
