Alonso Pérez de Guzmán defending Tarifa castle, Spain in 1296 on behalf of Sancho IV of Castile against the Moors. Guzmán's son had been placed under the care of Don Juan, Sancho's rebellious brother who threatened to kill the captive unless Guzmán surrendered the city.
