Plant in October or November, or as soon as the ground can be worked in the spring If planted in the autumn, they should be covered with leaves, straw, or long manure on the approach of winter. For pot culture, fill with any rich, porous compost, with good drainage, planting 4 roots in a 5-inch pot; place in a cold-frame, or any moderately .cool situation, giving very little water until the plants appear, then remove to the greenhouse or sitting-room window.
