Original, WW1 era postcard of women land worker's recruitment / accommodation rail coaches, Northallerton and landworkers written on coach. The woman in civilian clothes at the front, wearing a dress, is probably a recruitment organiser or officer or trainer. This is thought to be a recruitment drive publicity photograph as the women are holding a selection of tools such as forks, a rake, a trug and milk can and milking stool. Perhaps the women have been on land army training course. On reverse is written "1st set of landworkers Feb 26th to March 26th 1917" Northallerton, North Yorkshire,

See Alamy ref: 2WAPTC4 for photograph of the trainer / recruiter seated at the front of this photo on the left who also appears with recruited young women landworkers at Northallerton.
