Attempting to escape. India: THESE IMAGES show a group of unlucky fish falling prey to the successful hunting skills of the darter bird. One image shows the darter swallowing its lunch whole, the fish having been skewered by the birds beak during its hunting method. The darter is named for its feeding method where it darts forward and impales fish on its thin, pointed beak. They can grow up to feet long with a wingspan of feet and can weigh around 1,350 grams. These images were captured by photographer Sundeep Kumar in Keoladeo National Park, Bharatpur, India using a Sony Alpha 9 camera. ?I didn't find the desired spot when this action began, took another side and got lucky to capture this close one,? said all-action happens over thirty-minutes. ?You should be lucky to be at the right spot and right time within a large bird sanctuary. ?Hundreds of photographers run here and there to capture these amazing moments. ?I generally skip a heartbeat to have captured such moments. ?I just felt like showing them to anyone and mediadrumimages/SundeepKumar
