These Communion Services, in addition to beingantique, are extremely handsome. The hell hears the date of 1761 and the parishregister has for the date of its first entry hill. The church yard (cut page -ill contains) thetombstones of numbers of men prominent in the earlyhistory of Vi rginia. The date of the oldest tomb to he seen now i- inscriptions en some of the tombs are mere thanv/orlh ones while to Bruton Church viewed from Duke of Gloucester Street MUUamsburg Leaving Bruton Church and continuing up theright side of Duke of Gloucester Si net for a squareand a half, the visitor will see the •Home of JohnBlair, member of the Genera] Assembly and judgeof the Supreme Court of the United States, ap-pointed 1>\ Washington. In 1691 there having been for a uumber of yearsan efforl made by the inhabitants of Virginia to establish a college, the General Assembly sent Blair to England, to solicit funds and obtaina charter. The plan was to educate ministers so thatili Christian religion mighl be propagated amongthe Indian-, and to educate the youth of plan met with tie approval of King Williamand Queen Mary, and the charter was readilygrante
