None of these forms are known to range beyond the aforesaid limits in the present region: they are all strictly arid in their distribution, entering our region from the east, and not going very far. (Compare Figure I.) But there is another and larger class of species, just as clearly Arid Tropical in their affinities, which have penetrated farther— some of them much farther—to the west.
