George Savilein 1670 was Baron Savile, of Elland, and Vis-count Halifax, and Marquis of Halifax in 1682,but his son, William, died in 1700, without maleissue. Camden, the great anti-quary, he left legal and historical pieces inmanuscript, one of which was printed in Lou-don in 1675, in old French, a thin folio, editedby John Richardson, of the luner Temple.
