Amjad was the son of Ghulam Farid Sabri who was also a renowned North Indian classical musician and Sufi singer. He assassinated by unidentified target killers and according to security staffs shells of 30-caliber bullets found on venue.


KARACHI, PAKISTAN, JUN 23: In ambulance people carrying coffin of renowned Sufi singer Amjad Sabri, who assassinated in Liaquatabad area of Karachi on Wednesday by unidentified gunmen while on drive, after funeral prayer at District Central on Liaquatabad in Karachi on Thursday, June 23, 2016. Amjad was the son of Ghulam Farid Sabri who was also a renowned North Indian classical musician and Sufi singer. He assassinated by unidentified target killers and according to security staffs shells of 30-caliber bullets found on venue and it is noticed that defunct anti state elements such as Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and Sipah-e-Sahaba uses local made 30-caliber pistols for target killings.
