St. Thomas' Hospital, c1868. The present day St. Thomas' Hospital was designed by Henry Currey (1820-1900). Located at a site historically known as Stangate in the London Borough of Lambeth, it is directly across the River Thames from the Palace of Westminster. The foundation stone was laid by Queen Victoria in 1868.
