As a rule, it is by vaginaltouch that we may reach a diagnosis, and this is only possibleafter rupture of the membranes and with sufficient dilatation ofthe cervix to enable the finger to come in contact with the pre-senting part. On one side or the other, according to the po-sition, we reach the sagittal suture ending at the anterior fonta-nelle.
