The bas-reliefs at Angkor Wat, Angkor, Siem Reap, Cambodia. The bas-reliefs cover the back wall of the gallery of the third enclosure for two metres in high and a total of more than 1000 square metres. They rapresented episodes from the Hindu epics Ramayana and the Mahabharata. Angkor Wat was first a Hindu later a Buddhist temple complex. It was built in the first half of 12th century.
