Godrevy Lighthouse was built betrween 1858–1859. The lighthouse consists of a white octagonal tower approximately 86 feet (26 m) high and includes nearby lightkeeper cottages. The lighthouse is today automatic and unmanned. It is a local landmark and located to the east of St Ives (Cornwall) in St Ives Bay, on Godrevy Island about third of a mile off the mainland. It looks out into the North Atlantic Ocean.
