The monastery designed by Eduard Cuypers (1859-1927) on the site of the Dekkerswald sanatorium for the loving sisters of the Order of Saint Carolus Borromeus (also known as the sisters under the arches), which provided nursing. The monastery was blessed by Pastoor Stolk chairman of the Dutch Association for RK Sanatoria
