A South German/Austrian wheellock rifle in the style of Michael Gull, early 18th century, The brass-panelled with rifled bore and cannon muzzle in 15 mm calibre. The modestly engraved back-action wheellock with set trigger (the trigger mechanism faulty). The short half stock beautifully grained and carved, the patch-box lid decorated with horn ornaments. Length 110 cm. Michael Gull is mentioned as a master gunsmith in Vienna in 1647 and was granted citizenship in 1650.
