Luigi Pettinati (Cavatore, 7 June 1864 - Caporetto, 19 June 1915) was an Italian soldier, who with the rank of lieutenant colonel of the Alpini fought during the First World War, where he was decorated with the Gold Medal for military valor in memory for the courage shown during the conquest of the Mente Nero
