Materials.—Black filet, fourteen skeins of gold thread,any crochet silks you may have by you, a little blacksatin, stout card-board, and two and a half yards ofcolored cord. This pretty watch-pocket is in two parts. The f-ont,which is embroidered entirely over; and the back, ofwhich the upper part only is The Vandykes are done in gold thread; the spots in6ilks of as many different colors as possible. The card-board, cut out in the shapes seen in the engraving, iscovered on both sides with a piece of dimity, theblack satin. The netting is sewed over, and the edgesfinished with a handsome cord, which also serves tosuspend the pocket. The silks used for darning the spots should be as bril-liant and as varied as possible. We also give one or two little games for the entertain-ment of our young friends. BUFF WITH THE WAND. Having blindfolded one of the party, the rest take holdof each others hands in a circle around him, he holdinga long stick. The players then skip round him once,and stop.
