Livoni, but is a more profuse bloomer than that free flowering variety, while the stems average longer, and as the plant branches close to the ground, it enables it to withstand winds and drouth better than any other variety. It is a strong vigorous grower until coming into flower, when it should receive a top-dressing of manure or fertilizer in order to support the enormous and continual crop of flowers, and prevent the plant exhausting itself. An inspection of the cut shown above will demonstrate the reason for this. It has been exhibited at many flower .shows, and has been pronounced the best all-f<nind White Show Dahlia to date. For the florist it will prove valuable either as a cat flower, or as a bedder, or as a ftot plant.
