Brass plaques at the Lochnagar Crater from the Battle of the Somme in the First World War, Albert, France. The crater was formed by a massive underground explosion where the British troops tunneled to try and undermine the german lines. The crater is privately owned by Richard Dunning, and is preserved as a memorial ot all those who died in the war.
