At the Michigan Agricultural College Brown Swiss have been crossed on Red Polled, Jersey, and Holstein-Friesian grades, and in every c^se, says Professor R. S. Shaw, Swiss characteristics stand out prominently. Especial emphasis is given to the supe- riority of a carcass — the product of a Brown Swiss bull from a Red Polled cow — which weighed 1280 pounds as a yearling and dressed out 61 per cent.
