Timothy Vivian Pelham Bliss (born 1940), British neuroscientist. Bliss worked at the MRC National Institute for Medical Research in London from 1967 to 2006. His research has included studies on the mechanisms of memory storage, in particular his work in the 1960s with Lomo on long-term potentiation (LTP). Bliss was elected Fellow of the Royal Society in 1994. Bliss gave the Croonian Lecture in 2012, and received a share of the Brain Prize in 2016. Since 1990, he has been a Visiting Professor at University College London. Photographed in Norfolk, UK, on 10 April 2018.
