Richly contoured, large stones of the sea of rocks at the town Hemer (Felsenmeer Hember)


The sea of rocks at Hemer in the region Sauerland (Felsenmeer Hemer,, Sauerland), is a forested geotope with highly fissured bedrock and numerous visible rock formations. The Felsenmeer is about 600 meters long, 200 meters wide and lies 45 meters above the valley floor. It is a popular excursion destination with wooden bridges and footbridges over and between the rocks.
