No people are more hofpitable, kind, and free than the Indians. They will rea- dily Ihare with any of their own tribe the laft part of their provilions, and even with thofe of a ditFerent nation, if they chance to come in when they are eating. Though they do not keep one common ftock, yet that community of goods which is fo prevalent among them, and their generous difpolition, render it nearly of the fame effedl:.
