One of the leading spirits in this, and in allthe missionary enterprises of the young people of OldPine Street, was Ezra Calhoun, a truly consecratedservant of God, who came to Old Pine Street fromthe German Street Church in the late forties. He wasquiet and retiring in manner, but a man whose leader-ship needed no assertion.
