The Kazasker, Judge. This is one of the kad? ‘asker?. They were the two chief military judges in the Ottoman Empire. One judge was responsible for the region of Rumelia (the European part of the empire), the other for the region of Anatolia (the Asiatic part). They could be recognized by their large turbans and fur-trimmed cloaks.
