Close-up of an Apollo Lunar Hand Tool being used by US astronaut Charles Conrad, Apollo 12 mission commander, to pick up lunar samples during an extravehicular activity. Apollo 12 was the second manned mission to land on the Moon, arriving in the Ocean of Storms on 19 November 1969. Astronauts Charles Conrad and Alan Bean made two excursions on the surface for a total of 7 hours 45 minutes. Photographed on 19 November 1969.
