Newcastle Quayside and four of the bridges that link Newcastle to Gateshead across the river Tyne. The nearest bridge is Stephenson's High Level Bridge which is constructed with two levels the upper level carrying rail traffic and the lower level carries road traffic and pedestrians. Construction of the bridge began in 1847.
