Col. John Baynham (left), the Commander UK Forces-Somalia, hands over an assortment of equipment to Maj. Gen. (Retired) Fidza Dludlu, the AMISOM Head of Mission Support. The equipment which included shovels, personal protective equipment, helmets, uniforms, eye protective glasses, and hand gloves, is to support AMISOM’s counter-IED operations and enable troops to clear Main Supply Routes and upgrade of Forward Operating Bases (FOBs). The hand over took place on the sidelines of the sixth bi-annual counter-IED seminar in Mogadishu, Somalia, on 04 March 2019.
