German troops marching through Böhmen-Kamnitz in Czechoslovakia on during the anexation of the Sudetenland. After the annexation of Austria, Hitler demanded that he be given the Sudeten region of Czechoslovakia. At the Munich conference in September 1938 the Western powers agreed to this and the nazis occupied the area. Not long after Hitler broke his promise and invaded the rest of Czechoslovakia before turning his attention to Poland.
