Slate fence and derelict mine manager s house Rhosydd Slate Quarry Llyn Cwmorthin Wales

A slate fence, part of the remains of the disused Rhosydd Slate Mine, Llyn Cmworthin, North Wales. Split slate was far more plentiful than any other material in the area. Usually requires a wire binding to hold the tops of the slabs in alignment. So long as this is replaced periodically, the fence will last more or less indefinitely.
