Afghan national police recruits await training at Forward Operating Base Ghazni before being placed under the control of the Afghan ministry of the interior in order to control Taliban insurgency. Such regional agencies are assisted by the naval officer commanded Provincial Reconstruction Team Ghazni in an effort to reconstruct and stabilize provincial government. The ANP training site at FOB Ghazni is one of many throughout the country created after the collapse of the Taliban regime.
