Green-seeded Henderson 2^ 34 65 In response to repeated requests, we have developed a strain of Henderson's Bush, similar to the original in all respects ex- cept that the seeds do not turn white at maturity. Huelsen, University of Illinois, pri- marily to make available for Midwest gardeners a variety of Henderson's Bush type but with ability to set in hot weather and mature under droughty conditions. Plants, pods and seeds resemble Henderson's but are distinctly larger: seed 65 per oz. JACKSON WONDER (Calico) 3 % 65 Of Georgia origin and well adapted to the South. Plant small to medium, spreading without runners, very glossy, dark green, drought resistant, thrifty and productive; resembles Hender- son's Bush. Pods flat, contain 3-4 strongly flavored beans. Seed small, flat, light, buff mottled with purplish black: 75 per oz. U. S. No. 2 234 34 62 Introduced by the U. S. Dept. of Agriculture as an early maturing type of Henderson's Bush, thus making crops of this popular variety possible in such areas of shorter summer as in the more Northerly States.
