The River Santubong runs through the heart of Kuching, state capital of Sarawak, Malaysian Borneo. The main way for commuters to cross the river is via small, motorised river taxis called tambang. This image shows the skipper of one such tambang standing in the bow, guiding the boat towards the jetty.
