Carbone had some large wedding deco- rations last week. For tlie Crosby- Choate wedding at St. Jolin's church, Beverly Farms, the bridal bouquet was of white orchids and orange blossoms. The bridesmaids' bouquets were of pink roses and blue larkspur. The church ?decorations were unusual and unique; in addition to palms and autumn foliage, there were great plaques and Italian garden vases filled with pineapples, grapes, bananas, apples, peaches and ?other fruits, which were attractive and •effective. Thomas Roland, who is our leading commercial grower of pot plants and is noted for hard-wooded plants, cycla- mens, roses, etc., makes a specialty of nerines; he has grown many thousands from seed and he is sending some hand- some spikes to the leading retailers at present. At the next meeting of the Garden- ers' and Florists' Club, which will come a week later than usual, October 25, •George F. Stewart will speak on the con- vention of the National Association of Gardeners; W. N. Craig will speak on private estates and commercial estab- lishments visited on Long island and the Hudson river, and Robert Cameron will speak on leading gardens and trade •establishments in and around Philadel- phia. There will be exhibits of chrys- anthemums and other seasonable
