Chalfont St Giles, UK. 24th February, 2024. Locals continue to be marooned due to floodwater. A country lane, Bottom House Farm Lane, in Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire off the A413 has been flooded for a number of weeks. HS2 ripped out ancient hedgerows along the lane and have built a high haul road next to it with a huge bank. Although the nearby River Misbourne does, flood, the floodwater in the lane isn't draining away. According to local residents, HS2 will not take any action to alleviate the flooding, nor will Buckinghamshire Council, who have just put a flood sign by the water. Cred
