The mineral pyromorphite is a lead chloro-phosphate: Pb5(PO4)3Cl, often occurring in the oxidation zones of lead deposits. Its crystal system is hexagonal, its occurrence most usually in the form of prismatic to acicular crystals, often striated over their length, sometimes hollow in the core. The color ranges from green to yellow. It is a minor ore of lead. Sample is from Roughton Gill, Cumberland, actual width is 130 mm.
