No Spinach, with the exception of New Zealand will "stand" August heat without "shootinc;" seed stalks. Water liberally with fine spray or sprinkler after sowing seed. Not related to the regular Spinaches, but this should be more widely grown, as it stands all summer and produces a continuous supply of good quality leaves.
