The operation of the Cinemotor is absolutely free of all vibra-tion and eliminates the unsteadiness of turning, which is a largefactor when operating by hand. In this connection it dispensesentirely with the human element and its accompanying variationsand completes the chain of mechanically operated apparatus forphotographing which further insures the quality of the output. The unlimited possibilities offered by the Cinemotor along thelines of remote control of the camera is very apparent as the distanceat which it can be operated is dependent only on the length of theextension cord supplying the current. Among the English cameras the Prestwich, Darling, Wrench,Ensign and Moy have altered very little in design. The AMlliamson model now has a lens turret carrying threelenses. Two motor-driven English models are offered, ostensibly to doaway with the use of a tripod; one is the electro Gyrospic. which, asits name implies, depends for stability on the action of a Gyroscope,is driven by a small electric motor. As messy storage batteries mustbe carried it does not present much promise. The other model of 80 the same type, but driven by compressed air, is the Aeroscope. Itcan be charged with compressed carbon dioxide on the A Sparklet Aprinciple. The Vinten camera is unique in that instead of being screwedto the tripod head in the normal way, the rotating and tilting mech-anism are integral with the camera.
