We belie\e the adventitious bands areusually congenital or are developmentalprocesses, the result of the abnormal mo-bility of the right colon. Some of themmay be the result of local inflammatoryprocesses in this region, chiefly from theappendix; but there are apparently twofairly distinct types of cases: those in whichthe appendix and the results of its inflam-mation are the chief factor, and those inwhich the adventitious bands usually.
