The telephone facilities at Peter Reinberg's city store have been dou- bled by the installation of another line and two stations. Christmas is proving especially diffi- cult this year, for the E. Wienhoeber Co., because of the fact that business has been so heavy there was no time for special preparation for the rush. December from the start has been de- cidedly better than last year and Christmas is all in the day's work this week. A double store at and 57 East Lake street has been an invaluable as- sistance in handling Christmas greens for the E. F. Winterson Co. Mr. Win- terson says he personally never has had a busier fortnight than the last one. The store at 1155 North State street, opened last summer by the Jegen Floral Co., the same interests long on Dear- born and Washington streets, now is doing a fair business in spite of the proximity of the Wienhoeber store, with its reputation for excellent stock, per- fect service and moderate prices, a combination against which more than one man has found it difficult to com- pete.
