Medieval alley Travessa da Guarda in historical village Monsaraz
Monsaraz is one of Portugal´s historic villages and one of the most beautiful. It is a small location with less than 100 habitants. Situated 190 metres high it offers spectacular views to Europe´s biggest barrage Barragem da Alqueva and the rural landscapes around. The historic centre with picturesque alleys and white- washed houses is surrounded by schist walls and dominated by the medieval castle.
