Acantuerta, Hmpsn. A. (7) xix. p. 241 (1907). Typo. thomensit Proboscis fully developed : palpi upturned, the 2nd joint fringed with long hair in front, the 3rd porrect and somewhat dilated at extremity ; frons with truncate conical prominence with raised rim in front and corneous plate below it, very narrow above between the eyes which are naked ; antenna; somewhat dilated towards extremity; mid and hind tibia3 spined ; abdomen with dorsal crests on 1st two segments. Fore wing with veins 3 and 5 from near angle of cell: 6 from upper angle ; 9 and 10 anastomosing with 8 to form the areole ; 11 from cell. Hind wing with veins 3, 4 from angle of cell ; 5 obsolescent from middle of discocellulars ; 6, 7 from upper angle ; 8 anastomosing with the cell near base only.
