Khnum Fashioning Man

According to ancient Egyptian mythology, the god Khnum was the creator of gods and mankind, which he molded on a potter's wheel (shown here). He was usually depicted with a ram's head and horizontal wavy horns. To the right is the ibis-headed Thoth, the god of wisdom and learning. The wavy lines of his staff represent the Nile's waters.
