A massive flare is seen from the Olefins 6 "Cracker" plant owned by SABIC at Wilton Site at Redcar, Teesside, UK. This is a necessary safety measure during shut down. The flares have happened several times recently in cold weather conditions leading to complaints from nearby residents in Lazenby and Kirkleatham. Flaring operations started today 17th January 2013.
